Who we work with – Solicitors

In last week’s Round Up, we discussed the role that Financial Planners and Accountants can play in improving outcomes for clients.

This week we shall discuss how Financial Planners and Solicitors can implement coordinated strategies that best utilise their accumulated experience and expertise to ensure that clients receive integrated legal and financial advice.

Financial Planners and Solicitors can work collaboratively in areas such as –

  • Estate Planning and use of Trusts – we work together with Solicitors to create Estate Planning strategies and assess existing strategies to ensure that they remain appropriate. This ensures a smooth transition of wealth from one generation to another that maximises its value.
  • Trustee Investments – we offer investment planning and analysis for existing Trusts which focuses on the objectives of the Trustees and future needs of the beneficiaries.
  • Wills and Probate – we want to ensure our clients wishes are respected and a Solicitor can provide effective Legal Advice in this regard.
  • Lasting Power of Attorney (Living Will) previously known as an Enduring Power of Attorney – A document that in the event of loss of capacity to deal with their affairs as they otherwise would directs who may deal on their behalf on matters such as finances and property and health and welfare, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/make-a-lasting-power-of-attorney
  • Divorce – we work with Solicitors to find post-settlement solutions resulting in the apportionment of pension benefits and investment capital.
